We find this to be one of the best yarn collections for kid's blankets and clothing. The colors include both a bright and gentle color palette. Both Cotton Tail and it's 100% merino mate, Minnow Merino are both soft, easy to work with and washable. The Jill Eaton pattern collection supports this yarn. Her patterns are well written and are absolutely adorable. Of course, this yarn can be worked for any worsted weight pattern as well.
